I just installed the Crossover 17 beta, reinstalled Quicken 2016 and R16 Monda Patch to "address" this problem.

The CrossOver install window opened, and I selected to install the file into my Quicken 2016 bottle, but the process hung. I tried downloading the patch and double clicked on the file. Unfortunately I am not able to install the mondo patch directly into the Quicken 2016 bottle. I would like to install the mondo patch manually to see it that will work like it did for you. I reinstalled Quicken 2o16 and temporarily blocked updates. That is until this past week when the automatic update prevented me and many other users from getting past the "New ID" screen. Quicken 2016 has been running fine and the occasional software updates were happening directly from the program with no effort on my part. Now seems be running fine under Crossover, however. Back in Crossover had to start from scratchīy installing Quicken 2016 and then the mondo patch on top of that.Įven after that getting past the “New ID” screen was That the “mondo” patch would work under Windows which it did.

Microsoft however your updating or installing gaming services, it has the potential to fail, if it fails the user is stuffed, took me hours to resolve this, the only advice I had was to, use PowerShell, reset various apps or to reformat and clean install, which for the majority of users is not an option, fix it.Finally got this to work. Once restarted open Microsoft Store find Gaming Services and install, it will now work. The version numbers may be different depending on what you have installed.Ĥ. Open RegEdit as an administrator and delete the following: Go to C:\Program Files\WindowsApps find 2 gaming services folders, take ownership and delete.Ģ. When I first got this error "0x00000001", I reset Gaming Services, that then caused another error "0x80073D26", that's when I found the services in task manager which were effectively ghost entries doing nothing.įirstly I reset Gaming Services, then proceeded with the following:ġ. The main issue with Gaming Services is keys in the registry including ghost service entries in the registry, there is a version mismatch, if you ever get this error no matter what you try as long as they are there it will never install, thereby rendering your Game Pass Ultimate experience virtually useless. Please, anyone who can help, I'd appreciate it.Īfter this I'll have to reset windows or something.Īnyone having this issue, after hours of frustration with this, finally have it working.ĭo not, as you may be advised reformat and clean install Windows as its not necessary, as are most of the possible solutions that I have seen in various posts.

Next step which I believe to be quite risky, change permissions on the windowsapps folder, delete the gaming services folder from within. Ive even tried disabling update services, then changing the SoftwareDistribution folder to SDold, rebooting, trying again, still doesn't work. "get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices remove-AppxPackage -allusers"įollowed by: "start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN" at which point I hit 'install' and I get the same issue. I've also tried a command line in powershell admin. Resetting both the store and the xbox app, as well as manually uninstalling the xbox app and trying to use the installer.Ĭlearing the Store Cache using the wsreset command.Ĭlean Boot, with no antivirus or firewall. I have tried everything I can find online. It starts to installīut stops then breaks after downloading, just as it starts installing. Now its installed and asks me to download gaming services. Now I'm uptoday and that's working fine, next, installed Xbox Beta PC. I first fixed an issue with windows update services, it wouldn't update.
